Re: Cabela's New Canadian Website

The only thing I have a problem with when buying from Cabelas is they want to charge a Broker fee. I can buy it off e-bay with no Brokers fee. Something else to remember is that if it is manufactured in North America you should not be paying Duty on it. A Bass Pro shop just opened here in Alberta ab...

Re: Fishing and Drowning

Myself and all of my family wear their PFD's when they are in the boat and I have an inflatable Stearns Steelhead vest for wading as well. The other thing a person should carry is a wading staff, even slow rivers can be dangerous if you cannot see the bottom.
Thanks for the reminder!

Re: Chuzenjiko April 20th First Koke of 09

Great report, nice pictures! We have fished alot of Kokanee on Lake Koocanusa in southeastern B.C. They may not be large but they sure taste good especially with the beer named for them!

A friend of mine lived in Japan in Gifu for 13 years. He and his wife were teaching english. He is a fly fisher as well, t...

Re: A ray of hope in a dark winter

W bought a Wii system and of course my wife bought a fishing game called Fishing Master......I think that is the name.... The graphics are a bit juvenile but the functionality is not. You fish salt and fresh, buy bait and rods as you earn points. Each species fights differently, no flyfishing sorry ...

Re: Christmas wish list time

I always have trouble with a list, I just like it when I do not have to work Christmas (this year!!!) I curl up with a cheeseball and a bottle of Gibson's on Boxing Day. Christmas I watch the kids. That being said a pair of breathables would be great and all of the sundry that I use for tying.

Re: P.E.T.A. - anti-fishing ad

I am not a PETA fan by any means, they are hypocritical and self serving to say the least. I had a copy of an article in a U.S. paper that told of them picking up unwaanted dogs from owners and euthanising them then tossing them into nearby dumpsters. Their philosophy of treating dogs as human being...
